Date Shake


Ingredients (use vegan versions):
  • 1 cup soy (unsweetened) or rice milk
  • 1 frozen banana (peeled and cut into chunks before frozen)
  • 6 dates (Medjool variety are best)
  • 1 tablespoon of vegan maple syrup or other sweetener
  • dash of nutmeg and cinnamon (optional)
Directions:

Place

soy milk in blender and at low speed, add dates, one at a time until the dates are completely pulverized. Add frozen banana chunks, one at a time until you achieve the consistency you like. Add maple syrup and spices. Serve immediately!

I like to pour this into a bowl, freeze it slightly, and eat it with a spoon. Yum!!!!

Serves: 1 - 2

Preparation time: 5 mins.
